If you avoid your finances, they aren't going to get any better.

Think of money as if it was a relationship.

Do you treat your significant other like they are a piece of crap, not appreciating what they do for you, not spending time with it, pushing it aside to handle something else?

I sure as hell don't!

If I did, I would be forever single with no hopes of meeting someone who would want to be with me.

Once I start treating others with respect, pay attention to them, and making them feel wanted, I will start to attract a solid relationship with them.
